Cathy Judd *Parish Chair, Home Economist - in charge of adult programming

Cathy Judd is the Home Economist for Lincoln Parish. Cathy started working with 4-H youth in Union Parish in 1985. In 1990, Cathy transferred to Lincoln Parish to work with the 4-H Program. In 1995, Cathy became the Home Economist in charge of adult programming.

Cathy is married to Bryon Judd, a Forester for Stone Container Corporation. They have two children, Ansley and Rachel.


Rafash E. Brew Area Agent - Responsible for all horticultural crops in Union and Lincoln parishes, also greenhouse tomatoes throughout North Louisiana
 
B.S. -  Plant Science
M.S. - Biology

Rafash E. Brew has been a part of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service since September of 1991. Rafash is housed in the Union Parish Extension office.

Tune in to Rafash each Wednesday morning on 1490 KRUS radio for Backyard Gardening at 6:25 a.m. A weekly radio program addressing timely horticultural topics.


Amanda J. Simmons Extension Agent (4-H) - Responsible for the 4-H youth program
 
B.S., M.S. - Home Economics Education from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.

Amanda J. Simmons started her employment with the LSU AgCenter in the Lincoln Parish Extension Office in August of 2002. Amanda is responsible for the 4-H Youth Development Program in Lincoln Parish. Prior to her employment with the AgCenter, Amanda spent 4 years as a home economics teacher in Jackson and Lincoln Parishes. Amanda received the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award from Louisiana Tech University’s College of Human Ecology in 1991 and was also chosen Teacher of the Year at Chatham High School in 1991.

Amanda is married to Jeff Simmons and they have two daughters, Aubrey and Abby.


Gary A. Stockton Extension Agent (4-H) - Responsible for the 4-H youth program
 
B.S. - Agriculture Education
M.S. - Biology

Gary A. Stockton has been a part of the Lincoln Parish Extension Staff since 1994. Gary is responsible for ANR and 4-H club programs. Prior to coming to Lincoln Parish, Gary worked with the extension staff in Union Parish for 4 years and prior to that he spent 4 years as a Vocational Agriculture Teacher at Marion High School in Marion, LA.

Gary believes that in order to have a successful 4-H youth development program, you must first have a successful adult volunteer leadership program. Gary assists adult volunteers in Lincoln Parish with project clubs, workshops and clinics that these volunteers conduct.
